Registered Nutritional Therapy

Our Nutritional Therapy practitioners are registered with the British Association of Nutritional Therapists (BANT). With training from the Institute of Functional Medicine (IFM), they draw on an evidence and science-based approach to create an individual and personalised plan. The underlying ethos of our centre is based on food as medicine, and we are passionate about helping you to optimise your health through enjoying a nutritious and delicious diet.

They are experienced in interpreting functional medicine testing from Genova, Invivo, LifeCodeDX and Regenerus; offering gut microbiome, SIBO, genetic, food intolerance, metabolic, and nutritional status testing.

The underlying ethos of our centre is based on food as medicine, and we are passionate about helping you to optimise your health through enjoying a nutritious and delicious diet.

Utilising dietary changes is our priority within nutritional therapy; and Nathalie, Jane, and Kate can also prescribe a personalised plan of nutritional supplements, all available from our dispensary or onsite shop, or we are happy to support you in purchasing them elsewhere.

Based on our family farm and in the rural county of Lincolnshire we are passionate about food, farming and the connection to where our food comes from. We use science and detailed understanding of each patient’s medical history, genetics, biochemical and lifestyle factors to create a personalised plan which suits your lifestyle and budget.

Our expert nutritional therapy team can support you through making these changes, one step at a time, helping you to gain a love of healthy eating and the energy and vibrancy it can bring.

'Through my consultations with my practitioner, Nathalie, I improved my overall diet and learnt so much about how diet relates to health. My symptoms quickly improved, with the itching, soreness and redness quickly reducing and after 6 months my skin inflammation had gone completely. I intend to always continue on my new food plan as I feel healthier, my gut health has improved with my indigestion and heartburn stopping and I have lost ½ stone in weight' SL

Nutrigenetic Counselling at NCIFM

Genetic testing involves looking in detail at our DNA.  Variations in our genetic code, called SNPs (Single Nucleotide Polymorphisms) create our individuality.  These SNPs can affect our metabolism, nervous system, detoxification, hormonal balance, and nutrient uptake. Looking at your genetic differences determines your unique biological strengths and weaknesses and overall, a deeper understanding of your health.

Nutrigenomics looks at how nutrition and lifestyle factors impact our health and wellbeing. We can’t change our genes, but Nutrigenomic testing gives us an understanding of how our life choices can interact with our genes, so we can make positive changes that align with our genetics and optimise our health and wellbeing.

Nathalie is our Nutrigenetic councillor (NgC).  She originally trained with GeneSnippers in 2018, applying Nutrigenomics from a functional medicine perspective. In 2019 she passed the competency assessment in clinical nutrigenomics and is today an experienced and competent Nutrigenetic Counsellor (NgC). Nathalie has also trained with Lifecode GX and continues to research and train in the field of Nutrigenomics.

Genetic testing is best used in conjunction with other metabolite testing, and always a thorough understanding of the patient’s history and current health concerns.

Nathalie offers free 15-minute sessions to provide more information on her approach to genetic counselling.
